Smart tourism capital

Bluebook proudly presents Torino – 2025 European Capital of Smart Tourism.

Torino is a city in northwestern Italy with approximately 900,000 inhabitants. Surrounded by the Alps and crossed by the river Po, Torino was an iconic industrial city of the 20th century. After years of decline, due to deindustrialization, today Torino is a model of smart urban regeneration, blending culture, sustainability, and innovation.
Torino invites visitors with its accessible public transport and innovative museums, which include sensory experiences enhanced by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (XR). It is a dynamic city that emphasizes community involvement, fostering a thriving creative industry with diverse experiences, from modern art to historical preservation. Thanks to its rich migration heritage, Torino is a cultural mosaic. To experience this firsthand, explore the Porta Palazzo Market (Europe’s largest open-air market, 51,300 square meters) or join a “Migrantour” to discover the city with residents of migrant backgrounds.
